We strive to honor specific requests for uses of gifts; however, in the event we are unable to do so, we will apply the gift to the general operations of the Nation.
The Treasurer is authorized by Article X Section V of the Constitution to accept donations on behalf of the Cherokee Nation. In order for donations to qualify for tax exemption, donations to Cherokee Nation must be accepted by the Treasurer for use in furthering tribal operations or services.
